The final approach used rough roads and a riverbed on our trip. Reconfirm the border-zone process, vehicle and road conditions.

Change to a UAZ 4×4 in Karakol
Day 9 changes from the regular car to a UAZ for the rough Altyn Arashan track; day 11 returns by UAZ.
